Twenty-four inmates who benefited from the temporary release at the end of the year did not return to prison units and are wanted by the authorities. This week, they were included in the search program of the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG), which lists priority criminals for capture in the State. As released by the MPMG this Thursday (May 9), the 24 fugitives are perpetrators of crimes such as drug trafficking, homicide, robbery, robbery, rape, rape of a vulnerable person, active corruption and concealment of a corpse. Anyone who has information about the accused can make confidential reports by calling 127 and (31) 3330-9504 or on the institution’s portal.

They were detained in prison units in Ribeirão das Neves, São Joaquim de Bicas, Bom Despacho, Teófilo Otoni, Muriaé, Nanuque, Ponte Nova, Coronel Fabriciano, João Monlevade, São João del-Rei and Mariana.

With the inclusion of the names in the program, the MPMG published posters identifying the fugitives. The artwork has names, photos and information about the crimes committed by each accused. According to the agency, of the 3,760 inmates who benefited from the temporary release, 142 did not return. The majority, however, have already been recaptured.

“MPMG Busca” aims to disseminate and interinstitutional dialogue with the aim of promoting the arrest of people who are fugitives or escapees from the prison system considered to be priority targets due to the particularities of each case.
