The Government of Minas informed, as a matter of urgency, the suspension of face-to-face work this Friday (May 10) for employees who work in the Minas and Gerais buildings of the Administrative City. The measure occurs, according to the State government, due to the need to suspension of the use of social and private elevators of the buildings in question, carried out preventively after a new examination concluded this Thursday (May 9).

According to a government statement, “after withdrawal of the winning company from the first bid to repair the elevators, the State Government requested official expertise, always aiming to guarantee the safety and physical integrity of the employees.” “The measure is inevitable given the sequence of problems arising from the negligence and poor construction of the buildings, opened in 2010”, he informed .

According to Palácio Tiradentes, “the current management is adopting all necessary measures to investigate the causes of the defects found in the elevators and hold those involved accountable.” “The top managers of each administrative body will coordinate with their teams the carrying out of this Friday’s activities, according to the specificity of each function.”

Activities in the Tiradentes and Alterosas buildings are maintained normally.
