The Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM), through the 75th Interactive Police Station (DIP) of Barcelos (339 kilometers from Manaus), with support from the 1st Platoon of the 2nd Independent Border Policing Company (2ndCIPMFron), of Roraima Military Police (PMRR), recovered, on Wednesday (08/05), two boat engines that were stolen in the municipality.

According to delegate Rodrigo Monfroni Rocha, from the 75th DIP of Barcelos, on Tuesday (07/05) a man, 43, went to the police station to report that an aluminum boat with two engines had been stolen in Porto do Marreco, Centro neighborhood , from Barcelona.

“We carried out the search for the stolen objects and, based on information, we learned that the engines were found in the Vila Sacaí community, in the municipality of Caracaraí, state of Roraima,” he said.

According to the delegate, the police team requested support from the 1st Platoon of the 2nd Independent Border Policing Company, which found the items moored in a port in Vila Sacaí.

“The engines are there at the 1st Platoon headquarters, available to the owners. They need to prove ownership of the goods to get them back”, he said.

According to the delegate, investigations will continue to identify the perpetrators of the theft, as well as who the recipients are.
