Motorcyclist dies in hospital after accident between two motorcycles | Tocantins

A 40-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding head-on with another motorcycle in Paraíso do Tocantins. He was rescued at the scene by firefighters and taken to the hospital, but he did not survive.

According to the Military Police (PM), the accident happened in the Nova Fronteira sector, around 8pm this Saturday (27). The other motorcyclist involved in the accident remained at the scene and awaited the arrival of authorities. He told officers he was driving north-south on England Street when he was hit by the victim.

Witnesses told the police that the victim was inattentive in traffic. He received pre-hospital care and was taken by the Fire Department to the Paraíso Regional Hospital (HRP). People who were at the scene said he was bleeding from his nose, mouth and ears.

The State Department of Health (SES) said that the motorcyclist was admitted to the hospital, but despite all the efforts of the multidisciplinary team, he ended up dying.

The other person involved had abrasions on his left arm and leg, and did not require medical attention. He was taken to the police station to provide clarification. His vehicle was released at the scene, as it was in good condition.
