The playgrounds in the Plano Piloto region are undergoing renovations with cleaning, weeding and locksmith services, as well as painting of the equipment. The initiative is carried out by the Regional Administration of Plano Piloto, which has its own team and the workforce of re-educated students.
The leisure areas are mainly frequented by children and families, who approve of the initiative. Since January, 18 children’s playgrounds have been included in the works, including the replacement of sand.

The regional administrator of Plano Piloto, Bruno Olímpio, explains that the action begins with a general cleaning of the spaces, and then renovates the playgrounds, including repairing fences. To keep everything in order, he focuses on seeking partnerships with the community.
“We are following a schedule of improvement actions throughout the region. The issue of leisure areas has been a demand from the population that we are serving according to material availability, as we employ re-educated labor, which does not generate costs. Furthermore, the community must also be a partner and report possible vandalism in the spaces”, emphasized Bruno Olímpio.

Professor Izadora Lucena, 42 years old, mother of little Maria Clara, 3, says that the renovations are necessary and important for the entire community, but warns that everyone must collaborate, especially preventing pets from dirtying the sand in the spaces. “The old sand in the playground was dirty. This is the responsibility of the owners, because here we have children who use these spaces and we have to conserve them”, the Asa Sul resident drew attention.
Recovery
Blocks 104, 105, 106, 111, 115, 204, 206, 207, 212, 303, 406, 411 and 412, on Asa Sul; and 112, 206, 412, 709 and 712, in Asa Norte, have already had their playgrounds restored. It is expected that works will also be carried out in other spaces.
