According to data released by Clia, the previous season registered more than 141 thousand beds, and the projection is that this number will increase to more than 148 thousand beds in the 24/25 season, which will start in November and last until April 2025. The Secretary of State for Tourism, Bárbara Braga, highlighted the capacity of Destination Alagoas to receive more and more tourists and the Government’s continuous investment to promote responsible and quality tourism.
In the 23/24 season, Alagoas had already registered an increase in the flow of tourists, with 10 ships and 28 stops at the Port of Maceió. The State received larger ships with longer routes, which contributed to the success of this historic season. Through a public-private partnership, Alagoas has been strengthening the tourism sector, generating jobs, income and boosting regional development.
With an estimated economic impact of more than R$80 million on the state’s economy, the 24/25 season promises to move the region even further, benefiting not only the capital, but the surrounding cities and other tourist regions of Alagoas. Setur’s presence with an information desk at the Port of Maceió and support for promotional actions reinforce the State’s commitment to offering a complete and attractive tourist experience to visitors.
