Tourist attraction considered the second largest in the world opens in RS – InfoDiretas

Recently, on RS-452, the second largest zipline in the world was opened, located in Feliz, in Vale do Caí. With a length of 2.5 kilometers, the route starts at an altitude of 330 meters at Welt Platz, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the area. During the journey, it is possible to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h.

From the conception of the idea to the first zipline ride, it took three years. Currently, the Happy Valen Nature Tourism complex, as the project was called, is located in Feliz Municipal Park and offers, in addition to zip lining, activities such as rappelling, tree climbing, pedal boating, water biking and contemplative swings.

Zipline in RS is the second largest in the world

The biggest attraction is, without a doubt, the zipline, which is not only the second longest in the world, but also the longest in the Americas, second only to the installation in the United Arab Emirates, which is 2.8 kilometers long.

Of the more than R$8 million invested, an amount of R$800 thousand was provided by Badesul Desenvolvimento, through the General Tourism Fund (Fungetur). According to the president of Badesul, Claudio Gastal, the project has the potential to boost tourism in the region.

In addition to the financial investment, construction required 14 months and consumed 70 tons of steel, 50 tons of wood and 660 tons of concrete.

The match takes place at Welt Platz, a rented area in Morro das Batatas, in Feliz, offering a panoramic view of the municipality. The zip line can transport up to three people lying down (known as “superflight”) or sitting. During the journey, speeds can reach up to 100 km/h, but a braking system guarantees safety at the end. Disembarkation is at the complex’s Multiactivity Tower, and the total duration of the experience is approximately three minutes.

From boarding to disembarking, precautions are taken to ensure a safe and pleasant experience, including checking buckles and radio and television communication from the complex’s 25 employees. The structure is designed to support a weight of up to 16 tons, eight times more than most ziplines.

Accessibility is also a priority. The Feliz zip line is suitable for people with mobility disabilities or wheelchair users, with specific elevators and equipment to ensure their participation in the entire experience.

The place is open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Prices vary from R$145 to R$210 per person.
