Detran-AM rates rise 4.5% from April 1st


Manaus/AM – The services of the State Department of Traffic of Amazonas (Detran-AM) became 4.5% more expensive, starting this Monday (1st), following the adjustment in the rates of the accumulated National Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA) between March 2023 and February 2024.

Some of the main services that have undergone adjustments are:

– Physical and mental aptitude exam: from R$ 184.03 to R$ 192.31
– Registration of vehicles from other states: from R$ 243.44 to R$ 254.39
– Psychotechnical exam: from R$ 149.55 to R$ 156.27
– Issuance of the first copy of the CNH (category B with EAR): from R$ 267.11 to R$ 279.12 (includes first copy of the license process, inclusion of EAR, booking of exams, etc.)

The complete fee table has not yet been updated on the Detran-AM website.

Complementary Law No. 240, of December 23, 2022, approved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam), defined that the readjustment of Detran-AM rates is automatic. Rates have not been adjusted since 2014.
