Free public transport within Luzimangues, district of Porto Nacional, is already in force, but for the population to be able to access the service they must have a bus card.
As advised by Fabrício Machado Silva, president of the municipality’s Agency for Regulation, Control and Inspection of Public Services and the Environment (ARPN), residents who want to access the card must go to the bus station and present copies of the following documents:
- Proof of residence.
The first copy is free. For those who have already issued the document but are no longer carrying it, it is necessary to obtain a duplicate by paying a fee of R$ 11.55, said the president.
“These cards are being made from 6:30 am to 3 pm and from 1 pm to 6:30 pm. If you have any questions in the district, you can contact 3232-6300 to get some clarification,” he said.

The free provision was determined by the city hall with the creation of a sibsidio for the region. This is because, according to the municipality, the company responsible for the concession, Expresso Miracema, ended free integration for those who need to travel the Palmas-Luzimangues route.
Currently, the district has three lines and an average of 600 daily users. Fabricio explained that the lines run in the district and the route ends at the bus station. At the station, travel becomes intercity, for those who need to go to the capital.
Therefore, according to the president, residents of the district will not need to pay two fees, just the intercity fare.
