After being present at the pre-Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and holding, in Salvador, a special edition of Axézin about the party, Alexandre Peixe is preparing to start a busy schedule in February. This Sunday (04), when the capital of Bahia already has Furdunço on the street, the artist runs the Harem Rehearsalin the box with the same name, from 3pm, in Ondina.
This is a special edition of Ensaio do Harém, celebrating the 20 years of history of the brand with which Peixe has a long history: he was responsible for pulling the trigger and leading the rehearsals for 10 years.
On Wednesday (07), the day before the official start of Carnival, the singer will be at the head of the Gravata Doida group, in Santo Antônio Além do Carmo (neighborhood where he has already held several editions of Axézin), which celebrates 25 carnivals in 2024 – with Peixe leading the group for the 5th time.
Still on the agenda in the capital, it is nthe first day of Carnival that Peixe hosts a special show at Camarote Salvadorone of the most traditional of the festivities, with a program that brings together the biggest names in national music. The Bahian also performs, during the festivities, in seven cities in Minas Gerais. On Tuesday (13) he returns to Salvador, where he leads a special edition of Axézin at Camarote Club.
The biggest hits from Salvador’s Carnival set the tone of the repertoire, with Peixe as the composer of several songs that marked the festival in Brazil. Original songs immortalized in the voices of the greatest Bahian artists, such as Ivete Sangalo and Bell Marques, as well as classics by artists such as Luiz Caldas and Daniela Mercury and the bands Mel, Beijo, Chiclete com Banana, Asa de Águia, Cheiro de Amor and Olodum are part of the setlist for the shows, which also features songs that exalt the culture and musicality of the capital of Bahia. This is the case of “Soul de Salvador”, a tribute by the composer to the city, released at the beginning of the summer.
