The bathing bulletin released by the State Institute of the Environment (Inea) this Friday (2/2), brings 15 beaches recommended for swimming in the south and west zones of Rio de Janeiro on Saturday and Sunday (3 and 4/2) .

The free beaches are Grumari, Prainha, Pontal de Sernambetiba, Recreio, Barra da Tijuca, Joatinga, São Conrado (except in the left corner of the beach, close to the rocky shore), Vidigal, Leblon (except in front of Rua Rita Ludolf), Ipanema , Arpoador, Diabo, Copacabana, Leme and Vermelha.

Swimming on the beaches of Barra de Guaratiba, Pepino, Urca, Botafogo and Flamengo is not recommended.

In Niterói, the beaches suitable for diving are Piratininga, Sossego, Camboinhas, Itaipu and Itacoatiara.

Swimming is not recommended on the beaches of Gragoatá, Boa Viagem, Flechas, Icaraí, São Francisco, Charitas, Jurujuba, Eva and Adão.

Inea warns that swimming in the sea should be avoided within 24 hours of rain and close to the exit of rainwater galleries or drainage channels. The bathing bulletin can be consulted on the institute’s website (www.inea.rj.gov.br).
