Suspects of planning attack on armored car are killed by police in Bahia

Two suspects of planning an attack on an armored car on the border between Bahia and Sergipe were killed by the police in an operation this Friday (2). According to information from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), sharing of information between the Police of the states of Bahia, Sergipe, Pernambuco and Ceará interrupted the planning of attacks.
Two traffickers were analyzing the routes of valuables in the region of the Bahian city of Paulo Afonso. Also according to the SSP, the duo owned marijuana plantations in the city of Triunfo (Pernambuco), and spent the last 15 days on the border between Bahia and Sergipe.
During the campaign, the police spotted drug dealers on BA-210, in the Paulo Afonso region. During the arrest attempt, there was a confrontation and the criminals ended up injured. They were rescued, but did not resist.
Teams from Bahia (PM and FICCO), SE (PM), Pernambuco (PM) and CE (FICCO) participated in the operation. Two 38 caliber revolvers and ammunition were seized from them. Security Forces are still in the region looking for the duo’s associates.
