Did you know that Manoel Ferreira Serpaan illustrious resident, sold perfumes and costumes in the Casarão that houses the restaurant Townhouse? History presents us with fascinating memories, and we found records in the Administrative Almanak of 1866, revealing Serpa’s commercial activities at this historic address.
In honor of this rich root, Sobrado da Cidade prepares a Carnival procession, inviting everyone to travel through time. The restaurant, located in a 19th century mansion, in Rosario Streetin the heart of Center of Rio, invites visitors to immerse themselves in the unique experience of having lunch in a place full of history. On 02/04 and 02/24, the space comes to life with the Carnival parade, filled with marches and lots of happiness. The event is free for all ages, and we encourage the use of costumes to express creativity and joy.
The building, witness to many carnivals, inspires the imagination of what these festivities were like in times past. It is these intriguing possibilities that the block wants to share, and to this end, the team has prepared a special program for customers to experience Carnival with the fusion of Food and History.
