The Public Security Secretariat of Alagoas (SSP) received, this Friday morning (2), the general ombudsman of the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Sesed) of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), Julimar Gonçalves . The technical visit aimed to learn about the projects developed by the department to combat and prevent violence.
The ombudsman met with the team from the Head of Articulation and Prevention of Violence and the Secretary of Public Security himself, Flávio Saraiva, where the actions developed at the Community Police Bases (BCS) in conjunction with the Community Integration Councils (CIC) were presented. ).
The idea is that these projects and actions can serve as an object of study and analysis for future projects in RN. The projects Na Base do Sossego, Protected Elderly Persons, SSP in Schools, Community Integration Councils, among others, were presented.
Secretary Flávio Saraiva advised that both the Community Bases and the CICs are fully available to carry out on-site visits and follow-ups to get a real impression of what is happening in the territories served by the Community Police philosophy.
“We have achieved good results with these programs, the interest from other states is proof of this. The work carried out by the Community Police presents another view of society about the police. Therefore, this outside look is important, both to recognize that we are on the right path, and to have a broader vision of where and how to improve even further”, said the secretary.
