The approval of the Public Tender Notice Sejusp 002/2021 of the Criminal Police of Minas Gerais was published in the Official Gazette of Minas Gerais this Friday (2/2).
Those approved went through the six stages of the competition: objective test and essay, psychological assessment, medical examinations, physical fitness test, social investigation and, finally, the Professional Technical Training Course (CFTP), which was divided into three groups.
After approval, the next steps for prison units to receive new criminal police officers are appointment and medical examination. These duties are the responsibility of the Secretariat of State and Planning and Management (Seplag) and depend on deadlines and internal logistics.
The process ends with the possession of those approved and their transfer to prison units located in the various regions of Minas Gerais.
It is important to highlight that medical examinations are part of the public examination, while medical examination is mandatory for all those who enter the public service, whether through competitive examination, broad recruitment or contract.
For the Secretary of State for Justice and Public Security, Rogério Greco, today’s date is historic. He, who was in charge of all the negotiations to ensure that the event was approved and took place, highlights that “the approval represents the effort of dozens of people who worked tirelessly for more than two years so that those approved could get here. We faced unimaginable challenges to be able to complete an event of this scale”, he assesses.
“It’s a big contest, the biggest ever held for the Minas Gerais prison system, with many stages and involving the work of many people, from the most different areas. It is with great satisfaction that we approved this competition and, now, we are just a few steps away from having these police officers working in our prison units, ready to add to and further strengthen the work of the Criminal Police of Minas Gerais”, concludes the secretary.
The State Secretariat for Justice and Public Security (Sejusp) emphasizes that vacancies will be filled in strict accordance with the final classification order of candidates in the competition, as set out in the notice.
After the meeting of the Budget and Finance Committee (Cofin), which will be held next week, a schedule with dates for appointing and carrying out medical examinations will be evaluated and subsequently published for due monitoring of those approved.
