The Legislative Assembly of Pará (Alepa) will hold, on February 6th, at 9 am, the Solemn Installation Session of the Legislative Year 2024. The ceremony officially opens the work of the first period of the second year of the 61st Legislature of the Legislative Power of Pará , and takes place in the Newton Miranda Plenary at Palácio Cabanagem, in Belém.
On the occasion, the governor of the State of Pará, Helder Zahluth Barbalho, will read the message to the Legislative Branch. The president of Alepa, deputy Chicão, will lead the Session, accompanied by the other 40 deputies elected in the 2022 election.
In addition to opening the year of work for the House of Laws, the Installation Session is the moment in which the head of the state Executive has the opportunity to present the Work Plan with the actions planned for the year in question. In other words, on the 6th, there will be no agenda or voting on parliamentary proposals.
Bills, decrees and other matters can only be considered in ordinary and extraordinary sessions, as determined in the Internal Regulations. The first session with voting on matters on the agenda is scheduled for February 20th.
