The majority of rescues occurred on the North coast, with Capão da Canoa and Torres being the cities with the highest number of rescues. This effort is complemented by the location of 579 missing people, with the majority of cases also concentrated on the North coast.

In addition to rescues, firefighters carried out 228,826 prevention actions along the coast and in internal waters, demonstrating the importance of preventive measures to avoid accidents. Jellyfish injuries were also a common occurrence, totaling 29,738 cases, with a significant number of incidents being reported on February 1st alone.

The data highlights the continuous and essential activity of the RS Military Fire Department during the summer period, highlighting not only the response to emergencies, but also the focus on prevention and education of bathers to minimize risks. The operation, which lasts until March, is crucial for public safety in water recreation areas, especially during the busiest tourist months.
