The State Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation, Fisheries and Aquaculture (Seagri) announced this Thursday (1) that recent graduates in agronomy, veterinary, zootechnics, fisheries engineering and aquaculture engineering courses can enroll up to on February 7th in the Lato sensu Postgraduate Program in Professional Residency in Agricultural Sciences at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB).

According to information from Seagri, the program offers five vacancies to work in one of the Bahia Pesca units covered by the notice, within the Bahia + Pescado project: training and technical qualification of young people in agricultural sciences in the State’s aquaculture development. Bahia Pesca is the development agency of the Government of the State of Bahia linked to the Secretariat.

The program lasts 12 months and selected technicians will be entitled to a stipend of R$1.2 per month.

Vacancies are distributed as follows:

  • Joanes II Fish Farming Station (Camaçari): 1 effective – 1 reserve
  • Sobradinho Public Fishing Terminal: 1 effective – 1 reserve
  • Bahia Pesca Headquarters Office in Salvador: 1 effective – 1 reserve
  • Oruabo Farm, Acupe-Santo Amaro: 2 effective – 2 reservations

Only candidates aged 29 or over who have completed an undergraduate course with full duration within 24 months of the notice’s release date are eligible to apply for one of the vacancies.

Candidates must also be available for 40 hours a week to dedicate themselves to the activities of the Agricultural Professional Residency Program and cannot have access to any type of employment relationship beyond their role as a resident.
