Criminal Police will monitor people with electronic ankle bracelets on Corso de Teresina,

The Piauí Criminal Police will be present, this Saturday (3), at Corso de Teresina 2024 to carry out inspections of people who comply with precautionary measures other than prison, such as the use of electronic ankle bracelets. Currently, there are around 900 electronically monitored in Piauí.

“The Criminal Police will be present on Corso de Teresina and our biggest mission is to provide peace of mind to revelers, within our constitutional sphere of attribution. We will be with the Electronic Monitoring Center, to prevent those monitored, who are breaking the law, from staying at the event”, highlights the Director of Penitentiary Administration of the State Secretariat of Justice (Sejus), Reginaldo Moreira.

Along with the other public security forces, Sejus, through the Electronic Monitoring Center, will have criminal police officers at the Integrated Security Center. On the avenue, criminal police officers will be at the event location, approaching people with electronic ankle bracelets.

“We brought together the state security forces and at the event we will check who is not complying with the court order, going to bars and parties, so that we can later inform the Judiciary”, explains the Monitoring Center Manager, Rayana Moura.
