According to the Specialized Robbery and Theft Police Station (DERF), which was investigating the case, the woman confessed that she had not been robbed and that she had invented the story, as she was unable to pay the car rental. The driver believed that with the complaint, she could stop making the payment.

The woman was charged with the crime of false communication, leaving her status as a victim and being investigated.

After running in a rural area, a 23-year-old app driver says she was approached at a gas station by two men. The young woman was allegedly suffocated and had R$500 stolen.

According to the police report, on the way, the woman managed to ask a colleague on the app for help. The driver was found unconscious and with her belt wrapped around her neck.
