The process of assigning free and replacement classes, carried out on the eve of the beginning of the school year, generates confusion and suspicion among candidates for vacancies in the state network

Education professionals looking for free classes and replacements in the state education network of Mato Grosso for the year 2024 launched, on the eve of the start of classes scheduled for next Monday (05/02), a undersigned. The document seeks to ensure transparency in the process of allocating places in the state network, contesting the process carried out hastily in the last week before the start of the school year. Suspicions arose in the calls made by the startup Ensina Brasil in collaboration with the government of Mato Grosso.

The petition is circulating on social media calling on teachers, adding to the complaints received by the Public Education Workers’ Union of Mato Grosso (Sintep-MT) that point out possible irregularities in the calls of some occupants for vacancies.

Message circulates on social media, collecting signatures against the lack of transparency in the allocation of free classes and substitutions

In one of the complaints registered with the union, there is disrespect in the call for those approved in the selection process (Selecon) in relation to vacancies called by PAS, from Seduc-MT. Names that appear in the class assignments do not even appear in specific phases of the selection conducted by Selecon.

Complaints multiply in different contexts. In Barra do Garças, for example, the complaints refer to vacancies for classes at the full school, open to professionals from any discipline, to work in areas of assessment and guidance. These would be aimed exclusively at professionals in a specific area, favoring one segment to the detriment of others.

The president of Sintep-MT, Valdeir Pereira, expresses support for the petition, considers it valid and highlights that it reinforces the indignation of professionals. For the director, the document is a powerful instrument in judicializing actions against possible irregularities. Valdeir criticizes the management of the Mato Grosso Department of Education (Seduc-MT), alleging that the Mauro Mendes government has neglected state education, showing disrespect for professionals in the field.

According to information from educators, state schools will start classes on Monday, once again facing a lack of professionals. Approximately 30% of vacancies have not yet been allocated.

Given the seriousness of the situation, Sintep-MT reinforces that people who feel harmed can make complaints directly to the union or, via email https://sintep.org.br/sintep/Informacoes/denuncias. And also, form groups and file a complaint directly with the Public Ministry of the State of Mato Grosso (MPMT).
