During the visit, Julimar met with the team from the Head of Articulation and Prevention of Violence and the Secretary of Public Security, Flávio Saraiva. On the occasion, the actions developed at the Community Police Bases (BCS) in conjunction with the Community Integration Councils (CIC) were presented. In addition, a set of projects were presented, including “Na Base do Sossego”, “Protected Elderly Person” and “SSP in Schools”.
Flávio Saraiva demonstrated interest in collaborating with the ombudsman, making the Community Bases and CICs available to carry out on-site visits and monitoring, in order to provide a clearer vision of the actions carried out in the territories served by the Community Police philosophy.
The secretary highlighted that the interest of other states, such as Rio Grande do Norte, in replicating the programs developed in Alagoas is proof of the good results achieved. He highlighted the importance of external recognition of the work carried out, while at the same time being open to suggestions to further improve the actions developed.
The visit of the Public Security Ombudsman of Rio Grande do Norte is an indication of the recognition and interest in replicating the successful practices implemented in Alagoas. The exchange of experiences and the possibility of adapting projects to other realities demonstrate the importance of dialogue and collaboration between states in the search for effective solutions for public security.
