Judiciary: benefits are readjusted and initial benefits increase

  • food allowance: went from R$1,182.74 to R$1,393.10; It is
  • preschool assistance: went from R$935.22 to R$1,178.82

The values ​​of other benefits, such as medical and dental assistance, were not adjusted.

The joint ordinance, which readjusts the values ​​of benefits granted to employees of the Judiciary of the Union, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union and signed by the presidents of the following bodies:

  • National Council of Justice (CNJ);
  • Superior Court of Justice (STJ);
  • Federal Justice Council (CJF);
  • Superior Labor Court (TSE);
  • Superior Council of Labor Justice (CSJT);
  • Superior Military Court (STM); It is
  • Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT).

Some bodies have already spoken out and said that they will promote the adjustment from the date of publication of the ordinance, that is, from last Thursday, February 1, 2024.

The document, however, establishes “the implementation of the new values ​​in each body is subject to the prior declaration of the existence of budgetary availability”.

TSE also adheres to the adjustment

The Superior Electoral Court did not sign the joint ordinance at first.

However, after protests from the National Federation of Workers of the Federal Judiciary (Fenajufe), President Alexandre de Moraes signed an ordinance, separately, and confirmed the readjustment for Electoral Justice employees.

With the adjustment, TSE employees will also receive the new amounts of food allowance, of R$1,393.10, and daycare allowance, of R$1,178.82.

Future civil servants who will enter the Unified TRE Competition will already be covered by the adjustment. The notice is scheduled to be published this semester, with 520 vacancies for higher-level technicians and analysts.

All Electoral Justice bodies will participate in this selection, with the exception of TRE Tocantins. The tests are scheduled for this first semester, that is, until June.

Judiciary: what are the remunerations in competitions?

The readjustment of benefits for employees of the Union Judiciary will impact several public competitions planned and with an imminent notice.

As of 2024, after President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sanctioned Law 14,523/2023, the following remunerations came into effect for Judiciary competitions:

  • judicial technicians: R$8,529.64, of which R$3,554.02 is the basic salary and R$4,975.64 is the Legal Activity Bonus (GAJ).
  • judicial analysts: R$13,994.76, of which R$5,831.15 is the basic salary and R$8,163.61 is the Legal Activity Bonus (GAJ).

The salary adjustment applied is 6%, starting in February 2024.

If added to the new food allowance of R$1,393.10, technicians and analysts will have initial remuneration of R$9,922.74 and R$15,387.86, respectively.

These new values ​​will be applied to all upcoming competitions for the following bodies of the Union Judiciary:

  • Regional Labor Courts (TRTs);
  • Regional Electoral Courts (TREs);
  • Federal Regional Courts (TRFs);
  • Superior Labor Court (TST);
  • Superior Electoral Court (TSE);
  • Superior Court of Justice (STJ);
  • Federal Supreme Court (STF);
  • Superior Military Court (STM)
  • National Council of Justice (CNJ); It is
  • Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT).

Most of the bodies above have an ongoing or valid competition, and may call for more to be approved, in addition to an imminent notice.

TRF1 and TRF2 competitions have imminent notices

In addition to the Unified TSE, two other Judiciary competitions have imminent notices and will already be impacted by the new remunerations. This is the case of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region, the TRF1, and the Federal Regional Court of the 2nd Region, the TRF2.

The TRF1 competition had a new committee formed and is undergoing final adjustments for the notice to be published. The panel has been defined and will be Fundação Getulio Vargas.

The TRF2 competition, based in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, is also in advanced stages.

The organizing panel was defined through an electronic auction and its contract has also been signed. The AOCP Institute will be responsible for receiving applications and administering the tests.

In both, the positions offered will be those of technician and analystin various specialties.

Other Judiciary competitions also have imminent notices, such as the STJ competition and the CNJ competition.
