The operator Azul Viagens presented the 2023 balance sheet and action planning for 2024. Within the data, the 46% increase in the number of passengers to Rio Grande do Norte in the second half of 2023 stands out.

Present at the meeting, the director of Tourism Promotion at Emprotur-RN, Nayara Santana, highlights that such performance is the result of work and investments in promoting the state as a tourist destination and the partnership with Azul and the afternoon in several actions in priority markets for the state.

“This number from Azul Viagens adds to so many other recent surveys that consolidate Rio Grande do Norte among the main destinations in Brazil. This highlights the success of the promotion strategies and the quality and diversity of the offer of destinations and services that the state has”, explains Nayara Santana.

Azul Viagens also presented that the high season of July this year will see a 17% increase in the supply of dedicated weekly seats to the capital of Rio Grande do Norte, in addition to three new routes, with direct flights from Curitiba (PR), Goiânia (GO) and Rio de Janeiro (GIG). Furthermore, the operator added almost 83 thousand seats in Natal for the first half of this year, which represents a 68% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

RN is a destination that grew a lot last year and we expect that this year will be no different, as it is a region with beautiful natural landscapes, with characteristics and a portfolio of products that can serve different audiences”, says the manager of Products from Azul Viagens, Giulliana Mesquita.
