The first projects of the Reviver Centro Cultural Program are starting to get off the ground. Casa do Carnaval, which will focus on honoring Rio’s Samba Schools, will open its doors in May this year, on Rua do Mercado. The space will be interactive and will offer locals and tourists an experience in which the party will be shown “beyond February. Exhibitions from a year-round sector and its various manifestations will be associated with courses, presentations and content production. The present, past and destiny of this living artistic movement are on the timeline.

“This was a dream of ours that we are putting into practice. We are very happy to be part of this project. We want Casa Carnaval to be a hub for revitalizing, preserving and redefining Carnival, which is so fundamental throughout the year. Let’s pay homage to all schools and tell the story of Carnival. We want to offer Rio de Janeiro residents and tourists an experience in the Center”, celebrated Fabiana Amorim, who is also director of the Associação de Escolas Infantiles do Rio de Janeiro (AEM-Rio), partner of the project with Bruno Tenório. “This initiative will generate economic development in the region and the city, and more leisure options for Rio residents,” says Chicão Bulhões, Rio’s municipal secretary of Urban and Economic Development.
