The University for All Program (Prouni) 2024 is providing 3,157 scholarships to 31 institutions in Alagoas. The majority of places – 2,904 to be precise – are full-time, while the rest are partial, that is, with a 50% discount on the monthly fee.

Registration opened last Monday (29th) and continues until this Thursday (1st), with the results coming out on Tuesday (6th). Consultations can be made on the portal https://acessounico.mec.gov.br/prouni, where candidates can search for the name of the course, institution or municipality they intend to study.

In the most competitive course, Medicine, the Centro Universitário de Maceió – Unima – formerly Unit, offers 23 places, 15 for self-declared black, brown or indigenous people, three for self-declared people with disabilities (PwD) and five for broad competition. The monthly fee covered by the scholarship is R$11,334.75.

How to sign up?
To register, you must have taken at least one of the last two editions of the Enem, carried out before the selection process, and have achieved at least 450 points on average in the grades of the five tests of the exam. Furthermore, the student cannot have scored a zero in the Enem writing test nor have participated in the exam as a trainer.

Who can participate?

The pre-selected candidate must prove gross monthly family income, per person, of up to 1.5 minimum wages, to obtain the full scholarship, which covers the entire monthly fee for the course. For the partial scholarship, which covers (50%) of the monthly fee, the monthly per capita income required is up to 3 minimum wages.

To participate in Prouni you must meet at least one of the following conditions:

  1. secondary education entirely in a public school;
  2. secondary education entirely at a private institution, as a full scholarship holder from the respective institution;
  3. secondary education partially in a public school and partially in a private institution, as a full scholarship holder from the respective institution;
  4. secondary education partially in a public school and partially in a private institution, as a partial scholarship holder from the respective institution or without the scholarship status; It is
  5. secondary education entirely at a private institution, as a partial scholarship holder from the respective institution or without the status of a scholarship holder;
  • is a person with a disability, as provided for in the legislation; It is
  • be a teacher in the public education network, exclusively for teaching and pedagogy courses, aimed at training basic education teachers. In this case, the income limit required for other candidates does not apply.
