Meeting took place this Wednesday

The Government of Mato Grosso do Sul will carry out a study to create assistance for retired public servants and pensioners. The measure was defined today (31), during a meeting between the governor, Eduardo Riedel, and representatives of the Servants Forum – with members of several unions from different categories.

“The Government is willing to create an alternative to support inactive people, who receive up to a certain salary range, or up to the ceiling. That’s why we’re going to do a study, including everyone. And by the end of February we will inform you how it will be done and what has been defined”, said Riedel.

At the meeting, the director-president of Ageprev (Social Security Agency of Mato Grosso do Sul), Jorge Oliveira Martins, presented the state pension situation, which has almost R$20 million in monthly deficit, an amount that is supplemented with resources from the Treasury of State.

Secretaries Pedro Arlei Caravina (Segov), Eduardo Rocha (Casa Civil) and Ana Nardes (SAD), attended the group of retirees who were at the Governor’s Office, informing the study that will define the type of aid that will be granted, and about the meeting open session in which the proposal and the figures on the State’s social security situation will be presented to the civil servants.

“I thank the governor and the secretaries for welcoming us. The meeting was productive and important”, said Fabiano Reis, president of the Servers Forum.
