The official application of the Government of Minas Gerais – MG App, coordinated by the State Secretariat for Planning and Management (Seplag-MG) and developed by the Minas Gerais Information Technology Company (Prodemge), was among the three best digital government solutions in the country at the iBest 2023 Awards. The award ceremony was held during the iBest Influencer Experience, this Tuesday (30/1), in São Paulo.
This was the second consecutive year that the MG App was among the finalists for the award – in 2022, the application was also awarded by the iBest Academy in the digital government solutions category.
“We are democratizing the population’s access to public policies through the digitalization of services provided by the State. The recognition of the MG App in the iBest Award demonstrates that we are on the right path, making life easier for miners and bringing the Government of Minas closer to the population”, celebrated the Undersecretary of Digital Transformation and Citizen Service at Seplag-MG, Rodrigo Diniz.
For Prodemge’s CEO, Roberto Reis, the award is recognition of the integrated work between various State entities to serve citizens. “Since it was launched, the MG App has been in constant evolution, and this is only possible through the combined efforts of Prodemge, Seplag-MG and other bodies with the common objective of making the lives of miners easier through the digital transformation of public services”, he stated.
The MG App brings together more than 100 public services from 17 bodies and entities of the Government of Minas Gerais. There are almost four million registered users.
Through it, it is possible to issue documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates, access basic health services – schedule blood donations and check the availability of medicines at Farmácia de Minas, for example –, check the status of the vehicle, schedule appointments at the Units of Integrated Service (UAIs), request new copies of energy and water bills, access payment codes, billing histories, among others.
The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play and iOS stores.
Over the last three years, the MG App has been a finalist for the iBest Award. The award is one of the main ones in Brazil and around 20 million users have registered to vote in 2023. In total, there are 107 categories distributed in different areas, with the aim of recognizing the best content, applications and social networks.
