Duo from Santa Catarina are world paddle tennis champions. Athletes Eduardo Lopes, from Videira, and Murilo Sampaio, from Fraiburgo, achieved the feat in the Open under 12 category, at the XIV Padel World Cup for Minors, held in Asunción, Paraguay.

Dudu and Murilo won four games. First against the number 2 pair from Argentina, then against the number 1 pair from Paraguay, in a game that lasted approximately two hours. Following this, they won the semi-final against the best under 12 duo in Argentina.
In the gold decision, the Santa Catarina team demonstrated an incredible level and beat the Brazilian duo Pedro Estivalet and Martin Quadros.

At the end of the last point, the winning duo cheered a lot and celebrated with family members who attended the games in Paraguay.
