An accident on Monday afternoon (20) closed the BR-262 at km 101, in Venda Nova do Imigrante, in the Serrana region of the State.
According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), a car hit the bridge’s protective wall and lost control, falling from a height of approximately 15 meters.

The incident happened at 4:30 pm and is still ongoing. Samu and PRF teams are still on site. So far there is one victim confirmed in serious condition.
Because of what happened, the track was completely closed in both directions, but was reopened at 6:50 pm. The PRF is still working to signal the area, which has an intense and slow flow.
Details of the incident or what caused the accident have not yet been released. The car was also not identified by the teams. This article may be updated if new information is provided.
