A 25-year-old fan of singer Taylor Swift, who was in Rio de Janeiro to watch the singer’s show this Sunday (19), was stabbed to death in the early hours of this Sunday (19) on Copacabana beach, south of Rio de Janeiro. January. The information was confirmed by Folha de S. Paulo.
According to the report, around 3am, Gabriel Mongenot Santana Milhomem Santos was approached by three men. He would not have reacted, but he was attacked by the trio.
The police arrested two suspects and, according to the police, they confessed to participating in the crime. One of the men had been released from jail on Saturday afternoon (18), after being arrested after stealing 80 chocolate bars in the same neighborhood of Copacabana on Friday (17).
“The Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC) is investigating the death of Gabriel Mongenot Santana Milhomem Santos. Witnesses were interviewed and reported that he was with a group of friends when he was approached by two criminals, who announced the robbery. The victim was stabbed and did not resist,” said the Civil Police note.
This is the second Taylor Swift fan to die over the weekend. On Friday (17), student Ana Benevides had a cardiorespiratory arrest and died. The 23-year-old psychology student was transferred to the Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital. Professionals tried to revive her, but were unsuccessful.
The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, informed in a video published on ‘X”, formerly Twitter, that the artist was also very shaken by the young woman’s death – which would have made it impossible for her to perform this Saturday (18).
