Who is the Cuban trader who recorded videos with men armed with rifles among children in Mangueira | Police Cases

Investigated for sharing videos between armed men and children, Cuban trader Alex Gonzalez has almost 11 million views on his YouTube videos where he gives tips on the financial market. A resident of Miami, Florida, he says that with his tips it is possible to make a profit of four to six thousand dollars a month.

Alex Gonzalez sells his investment course for USD 1,600 (R$ 7,800 in current operations). He also promises to teach all his “mental tricks that allow me to remain profitable” and that with one or two hours of dedication it is possible to receive the first results in 3 months.

On his social networks, the trader still tends to post a life of ostentation and luxury. On Instagram, a network with 311 thousand followers, there are photos with luxury cars, such as Lamborghinis and Alex Gonzalez disembarking from jets.

“Working with a trader makes buying cars fun, because you have the freedom of all your cars having colors that match,” he wrote in a post in which he poses with two vehicles.

Investigation

He is being investigated for sharing several videos on social media with men armed with rifles among children in the Mangueira favela, North Zone of Rio. The images were reportedly recorded this week by the businessman, who has an investment channel and has 300,000 followers on Instagram.

— As soon as I became aware of the facts, in the early afternoon of this Friday, I ordered the opening of a Police Inquiry to investigate the facts and circumstances of the images that went viral on social media, with a view to identifying and holding everyone involved accountable — said Rodrigo Coelho, head of the DRE.

One of the scenes published by the Cuban on social media shows Alex Gonzalez in an early childhood education classroom. He goes to the window and shows that there is a man armed with a rifle right below. A few meters away, the images show a woman with three children. According to the city hall, the daycare center is not part of its network.

The videos went viral on social media. On his personal account he shared a photo posed alongside friends, and one of them appears with a rifle: “Definitely one of the craziest experiences I’ve ever had. Literally a movie,” he wrote. He even thanks the other, who is only identified as Steve, for providing his security.

Another video shared by the trader shows him in the middle of a crowd and there are many children, some on their mothers’ laps. He passes through people accompanied by men armed with rifles and leaves on the back of a motorcycle.
