The work involved an investment of R$19 million, according to the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT)
Revitalization work on a discontinuous stretch of 50 kilometers on BR-423, between Inhapi, Delmiro Gouveia and Canapi, in the state of Alagoas, has been completed.
According to the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), the services were carried out between km 25 and km 105, and received investments of around R$19 million.
According to the municipality, milling and pavement restoration services were carried out on 50 kilometers. And between km 38 and 60, base recycling and layer recomposition services were also carried out with Hot Machined Bituminous Concrete (CBUQ).
Furthermore, according to the Dnit, routine maintenance and conservation services are also being carried out along the entire length of BR-423, between km 0 and 105+500, which will benefit, in addition to Delmiro Gouveia, Inhapi and Canapi, the municipalities of Ouro Branco, Água Branca and Pariconha.
Importance
BR-423 is a heavily trafficked highway that borders the state of Pernambuco and cuts through a large part of the Alagoas hinterland. The highway ends at the Xingó Hydroelectric Plant, located on the São Francisco River, on the border of Alagoas and Sergipe, close to Piranhas. The Xingó Complex is an attraction for those who visit the region, due to the famous canyons, which are very popular with tourists who visit the place.
