A man, suspected of committing a series of crimes in the Los Angeles neighborhood, died in a confrontation with military police, on Tuesday night (14), in Campo Grande. According to the police report, the man reacted to the arrest and shot at the teams before being injured.
During the afternoon, the police were warned about an attempted robbery at a church, where the perpetrator was surprised by residents and therefore fled. Witnesses revealed that the man lived in the region and was responsible for a series of crimes: robberies, thefts and threats.
Given the situation, the military intensified patrols in the area. During the search, teams found the suspect crouched near a wall. The first attempt was made to approach him, but he disobeyed police orders, took a gun from his waistband and ran to a nearby house.
The suspect, identified as Ademilson, was pursued by police officers. When the team arrived at the residence’s gate, they were greeted with gunshots.
Ademilson was shot in the chest and rescued alive by the soldiers themselves to the University UPA (Emergency Care Unit). He died while receiving medical care at the unit.
At the scene of the confrontation, a 38 caliber revolver, with one ammunition intact and four rounds fired, was seized. In addition, the weapons of the police officers involved were also collected. In the house, evidence was also found that there was a smoke pit and a place to burn stolen wires.
Ademilson dos Santos had several police records: attempted murder, drug trafficking, possession of firearms, robberies, thefts and threats.
