– We hope to maintain the pace and performance of our last participations. Our athletes arrive at the Games very well prepared and our expectation is that they will bring many medals to Brazil – said Mizael Conrado, president of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee.

Remember Brazil’s participation in Parapan de Lima 2019

The Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) called up 324 athletes from 17 sports to represent the country in the Chilean capital. Brazil will be present in athletics, badminton, wheelchair basketball, bocce, cycling, PC football (for people with cerebral palsy), blind football, goalball, judo, weightlifting, swimming, wheelchair rugby, taekwondo , wheelchair tennis, table tennis, archery and sports shooting.

– This will be the largest Brazilian Paralympic delegation in history at the Parapan American Games. We can only thank all confederations, clubs, coaches, multidisciplinary teams and athletes for their dedication and hard work throughout this journey – added the director.

In the last edition of Parapan, in Lima 2019, the country made history with a record number of achievements. The Brazilian delegation reached the unprecedented mark of 308 medals, 124 gold, 99 silver and 85 bronze. No country has ever achieved so many victories in a single edition of Parapan.

In the last four editions, Lima 2019, Toronto 2015, Guadalajara 2011 and Rio 2007, Brazil finished the Parapan in first place in the medal table.
