agribusiness is honored in the largest architectural showcase in the state

Agribusiness is the most productive sector in Brazil and is recognized for the country’s economic growth, year after year. Thinking about the details and well-being of an environment defines the connection between agriculture and architecture.

Considering this, two spaces were honored with the agricultural theme, in Casacor Mato Grosso 2023 and bring to it the appreciation of the activity and presence of rural women.

Architect Roberta Bertazzo explained that the space ‘Loft Agro D’Ellas’ created brings the four elements of the earth into the environment and shows work made with quartzite from an Amazonian stone, which represents the green tone that refers to the forests and the natural stones that make the connection with the earth.

Inside the room, a television shows data from the Mato-Grossense Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea). When bringing these numbers, it relates to the woman who works with crop and pasture data, daily, in the management of her properties and, also, the work with technology.

“So, this loft is actually to insert this woman anywhere in the world, because through the technology she has at hand, with all this data, she can work from anywhere. I will insert a welcoming environment into this context and show that this woman can have a little bit of her farm inside this loft.”, explains Bertazzo.

Cultures were represented in a pdecorative panel showing corn and soybeans. Bringing this new space opens new doors to the field of architecture. “I already have some agricultural clients and I realize the need today, suddenly, to create spaces within the field. I recently created accommodation just for women on the farm”, says Bertazzo.

Objects, stories and many cultures inspire professionals to bring the countryside and the city closer together. Honoring such an important sector for Mato Grosso shows the power of all rural workers.

O AgroFuture environment paid homage to the Agroligadas who show the increasing importance of women in agriculture. The movement’s president, Geni Schenkel, said she felt at home when she visited the space.

“The architects managed to build a real space, where we were able to work, monitoring every detail of the farm, welcoming people and still being with our children. In addition to having many charming details in the decoration”, he said.
