The Pernambuco 2024 Carnival Cycle Notice was launched. Published in the Official Gazette by the State Government, the call for proposals encompasses the 12 Development Microregions, promoting the qualification of proposals from artists, groups, orchestras and traditional associations to compose the party’s official program .
Registration will take place between November 21st and December 11th, 2023, until 5pm Brasília time, exclusively through the Mapa Cultural de Pernambuco platform (https://mapacultural.pe.gov.br/).

“For 2024, we are expanding the limits of presentations for artists and groups of popular culture and dance in the carnival tradition, orchestras and popular culture in general, to up to six (presentations) in response to a cultural request”, explains the president of Fundarpe , Renata Borba.
Another new feature in the 2024 notice concerns vacancy reservations, with the inclusion of quotas for hiring at least 3% of artists with disabilities or artistic groups formed mostly by people with disabilities.
The same percentage was defined for artists belonging to quilombola communities or artistic groups formed mostly by people belonging to these communities. Another 3% is allocated to affirmative policies.
PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
People with disabilities who are unable to register through the Mapa Cultural de Pernambuco will be assured of in-person assistance at the Fundarpe headquarters, with access via Rua da União, s/nº, in the Boa Vista neighborhood, at a time scheduled by telephone (81 ) 3184-3015, from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm.
On these same days and times, Fundarpe will provide face-to-face assistance, exclusively for questions, at the Foundation’s headquarters, accessed via Rua da Aurora, nº 463, in the same neighborhood of Boa Vista.
