The deadline for parents or guardians of students at public schools in the Federal District to request school relocation for next year ends this Friday (17). The request must be made directly at the educational unit where the student is enrolled, and the person responsible can suggest the school of interest.
The results of the requests will be communicated by the school where the student is enrolled by December 28th. Acceptance of the change, however, depends on the availability of places in the new teaching unit chosen.
To request a school closer to where you live, parents must bring proof of residence when requesting relocation. If the request attempts to place the student closer to the parent or guardian’s work, it is necessary to prove the employment relationship attesting to the address, such as a work card, pay slip or updated statement from the employer.

The change for those students who go to a new sequential school, that is, they will leave elementary school for high school, for example, must also happen in the same process. Otherwise, the student will be assigned to a sequential school automatically.
It is worth remembering that the student will always have a guaranteed place at the same school they attend or at the sequential school, if relocation is not covered. In this case, to confirm enrollment, simply contact the school office.
