President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva expressed solidarity with the Minister of Justice this Wednesday, stating on social media that Flávio Dino is being the target of “absurd artificially planted attacks”, following news that the minister’s advisors received his wife at the department’s headquarters of a leader of the criminal organization Comando Vermelho.
“He has already said and reiterated that he has never met the wife of a criminal faction leader. There is not a single photo, but for several days they have insisted on the nonsense lie,” said Lula in X, about Dino’s association — who is tipped to take over vacancy of minister in the Federal Supreme Court — with visits made by Luciane Barbosa Farias, wife of Clemilson Santos Farias, from Comando Vermelho, to authorities in Brasília.
The newspaper Estado de S.Paulo reported this week that Luciane was received by Dino’s secretaries and advisors, at the ministry’s headquarters, twice this year.
In his publication in X, Lula stated that the Ministry of Justice has coordinated important actions in defending democracy, combating weapons, combating organized crime, trafficking and militias, in addition to protecting the Amazon.
“These actions awaken many adversaries, who are not satisfied with the loss of money and space for their criminal activities. Hence the fake news spread in a clear coordinated action”, said the president.
Lula added that “there will be no retreat in the face of criminals and their allies, wherever they are, whoever they are.”
