The early hours of this Wednesday (November 15th), the Proclamation of the Republic Day holiday, saw rain in some regions of Belo Horizonte. According to the municipal Civil Defense, it rained between 2:50 am and 4:00 am in the Noroeste, Oeste, Pampulha and Venda Nova regions. The capital has forecast of rain showers in the afternoon.
According to Civil Defense, the Venda Nova region had the highest volume of rain during the morning. There were around 24 millimeters, which corresponds to 10.2% of the quantity expected for the region in November. The West region had the second highest volume, with 14 mm. It also rained in the Pampulha (3.6 mm) and Noroeste (0.2 mm) regions.
The forecast for this Wednesday (15) is that thermometers could reach 38°C in Belo Horizonte. The expectation is that the maximum will exceed the 38.6°C, recorded on September 25th, and the capital will have the hottest day of the year.
According to Civil Defense, the capital may experience rapid rain showers of up to 20 millimeters during the afternoon. Air humidity must remain at around 20%, an index that is considered a state of alert. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the ideal level ranges from 60% to 80%.
