Court orders blocking of R$100,000 and arrest of tourism broker who scammed clients in RN | large northern river

A man was arrested and had R$100,000 blocked in his accounts ordered by the Courts, on suspicion of embezzlement against clients of a tourism agency in Rio Grande do Norte.

The Civil Police count at least 40 victims in Natal. The arrest took place this Tuesday (14) in the city of Mossoró, in the western region of Rio Grande do Norte.

According to police, the man worked as a broker at a tourism agency, selling packages and services such as hotel reservations, purchasing airline tickets and transfers.

However, despite receiving payment for tourism packages sold, he did not purchase tickets or reserve hotels for clients, who only discovered the scam later and called the police.

During the investigations, the Court ordered the preventive detention of the suspect, which was carried out this Tuesday (14) and the blocking of R$100,000 in the bank accounts linked to him.

After arrest, the suspected embezzler was sent to the prison system.
