Drugs valued at R$2 million are found inside a boat in the Amazon

Manaus/AM – A 27-year-old man, whose name was not released, was arrested after being caught transporting 40 kilos of drugs inside a boat, in the municipality of Coari. The cargo is valued at R$2 million.

The boat had left Tabatinga and was on its way to Manaus. The drug was found hidden inside wooden tables used in carpentry activities.

The object had a false bottom where the cocaine-based paste tablets were located. The location was discovered with the help of a sniffer dog.

After identifying the owner of the tables, he was arrested and taken to the police station. He will be charged with drug trafficking.
