The bulletin brings, in addition to the predicted volumes, an expectation of when the flood peak will be in each city listed. (see table below). In Blumenau, for example, between 150 and 200 millimeters are expected in these six days. In Rio do Sul, models indicate 150 to 190 millimeters of rain in the next few days. If the accumulated rainfall is confirmed, the city should face flooding between 9.50 and 10.50 meters. As in Blumenau, the peak of the flood is expected to occur between Sunday (19) and Monday (20). Taió, already severely damaged by the October rains, is also expected to suffer new flooding.

“It is important to highlight that weather forecasts may change, as does the hydrological situation, which must be monitored daily. Civil Defense continues to constantly monitor meteorological and hydrological conditions in the State and recommends always monitoring the weather forecast and warnings and alerts issued by official sources on a daily basis”, says a note from the agency.
