The Dr. Alberto Rassi State Hospital (HGG) will gain a new hospitalization area, with renovation work on the 3rd and 4th floors. The service order was signed this Tuesday (14/11) by the acting governor, Daniel Vilela, representing governor Ronaldo Caiado, who is on an official mission to China.
Daniel Vilela reinforced that the work is the result of a commitment by the Government of Goiás to offering quality care for the people of Goiás.
“This reform makes HGG advance in the excellence and quality of services. These investments are a priority for this management”, he highlighted.
The works are expected to be completed within 14 months, with an investment of R$13 million, according to the State Secretary of Health, Sérgio Vencio.
“The money is already in cash, so the work tends to be done very quickly, so that we don’t impact goals and service,” explained the manager.

The renovation foresees the revitalization of all hospitalization spaces, taking into account the design of combined apartments, adapted to technical and sanitary standards. In addition, the accommodations will feature modern furniture such as electric beds, hydraulic stretchers, chairs for companions, bedside cabinets, wheelchairs and bath chairs.
With the adjustments being made for the expansion and renovation of the New HGG, service will be reduced due to the blocking of beds being renovated, but there will be no interruption. The works were planned to be carried out in five stages, without any service being interrupted.
The entire work follows the technical regulations of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), which includes planning, programming, elaboration and evaluation of physical projects for healthcare establishments, focused on preventing hospital infections and promoting more comfort and humanization to health care users. Unified Health System (SUS).
One of the deliveries planned for this year is the expansion of the health unit’s central reception. Currently, three containers serve as temporary reception until the works are completed.
The containers are air-conditioned and guarantee everyone’s comfort. The State Diabetes Care Center (Cead) and the Special Services Center (Cesesp) are also being included in the expansion works.
