Two men were shot dead on a street in the Bubu neighborhood, in Cariacica, in Greater Vitória, this Tuesday morning (14). According to witnesses, they were kidnapped in the Itacibá neighborhood by suspects wearing counterfeit Civil Police blouses.
The identity of the victims was not released. Witnesses told police that the suspects arrived in two cars, threw the victims still alive into the street and then shot them. Forensics found more than 50 capsules on the floor.
Investigators told TV Gazeta that the crime may be linked to the dispute between drug traffickers, as criminals from Itacibá are at war with suspects from Morro do Quiabo.
The Civil Police reported that the case remains under investigation by the Specialized Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP) of Cariacica. So far, no suspects have been detained and details of the investigation will not be released at this time.
The bodies were sent to the Legal Medical Department (DML) of Vitória, to be autopsied and, later, released to family members.
