State Network enrollment period for the 2024 academic year begins on Monday (13)

The registration period for pre-registration for the State Network for the 2024 academic year begins next Monday (13/11). The stage, which continues until December 1st, must be carried out directly through the website of the Secretariat of Education (Seduc), on the home page, by clicking on the Enrollment tab and selecting the education of interest.

For all students who are actively enrolled in state schools, in all stages and types of education, with 75% or more attendance, re-enrollment occurs automatically, from November 20th to 30th. If you are interested in changing schools, you must pay attention to the second stage of pre-registration, as, in this case, it will be a transfer.

Registration at this first stage therefore includes admission to the 1st year of Elementary School and the 1st year of High School, whether in the regular modality, Normal Course, taking advantage of studies from the Normal Course or Professional Education (technical courses) integrated into Education Medium, Concurrent or Subsequent.

From December 29th, students will be assigned to their desired schools. On this occasion, those responsible for the students will receive all the information via email registered in the system or they will be able to carry out the consultation on the Seduc website, clicking on Enrollment and selecting Candidate consultation.

Subsequently, between January 4th and 17th, 2024, candidates and their respective guardians will need to confirm their enrollment in person at the school of designation by presenting the necessary documentation to confirm the place.

For students in the 1st Year of Elementary School, it is recommended to also present a National Health Card (CNS), Social Identification Number (NIS) and certificate (vaccination card). It is worth noting that the requirement for entry is to have at least six years of age by March 31, 2024.

Between January 4th and 17th, 2024, students who missed the deadline to register in the first pre-registration period will have a second call to pre-register in the same period as transfer requests and those interested in Education of Young People and Adults (EJA).

For students in the 2nd to 9th year of Elementary School and 2nd and 3rd year of High School who are already enrolled in the State, municipal or private Network and wish to change schools or join the State Network, it is necessary to pay attention to the second stage of the pre- -registration, as in this case it will be a transfer.

The criteria for school designation prioritize the proximity of the student’s residence to the school unit, combined with the criterion of minor age, except when the student has siblings who attend the desired school. When requesting a transfer, the person responsible for the student or the student himself/herself may fill out up to three options for school units in order of preference, including school units that offer Full-Time Secondary Education.

The deadline for in-person enrollment in state schools for students who register in the second stage of pre-registration, as well as for those who requested a transfer, runs from January 29th to February 9th, 2024.

Registration confirmation

Online registrations and transfers will only be carried out with in-person enrollment at schools and upon delivery of the following documents:

• CPF and birth certificate or ID of the student;
• CPF and documents of the person responsible;
• proof of address;
• for students in the 1st Year of Elementary School: CNS (National Health Card), NIS (Social Identification Number) and vaccination certificate (card).

Public: everyone who registered from November 13th to December 1st, 2023, directly at the School Units

Stage – Second pre-registration call
Public: everyone who missed the first registration period (which was from November 13th to December 1st, 2023)

Step – Transfer Request
Public: everyone who wishes to transfer between State School Units or who is enrolled in other education networks and who wishes to enter the state public network.

Stage – Request for registration as new or transfer students at EJA
Public: all candidates interested in EJA, whether as new or transfer students

Public: everyone who requested a transfer and those who signed up for the second call (held from January 4 to 17, 2024)
