There are still more than 30 days until summer arrives, but the heat has already been with us – for a few months. Brazil recorded, in October, another record average temperature in the last month of October. It is the fourth consecutive month in which the thermometer has exceeded the historical average.
According to information from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the average temperature in the national territory reached 26.4°C last month. The average temperature for the months of October until then, based on the historical series, was 25.2°C.

➢ Ciep deactivated in São Gonçalo could become a cultural center
In July, August and September, the increases were also more than 1° C. According to Inmet, the El Niño phenomenon, which makes the waters of the Equatorial Pacific Ocean warmer, may be responsible for the heat wave.
The forecast is hot for the next few days
Still according to Inmet data, the next few days, in particular, should receive a new heat wave. The states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul are expected to record the highest temperatures. Despite this, the climate should not be much lighter in the municipalities of Rio de Janeiro, according to a forecast from the “Climatempo” portal.
In São Gonçalo, after a Thursday of intense thermal sensation, Friday (10) should have a minimum of 22° C and a maximum of 30° C, with the possibility of some rain showers at night. On Saturday and Sunday things ‘heat up’, with temperatures above 35° C.
Saturday (11) should not have rain at any time of the day in the city. The maximum is 36° C. On Sunday (12), the minimum is 25° C and the maximum is 38° C, with the possibility of light showers during the afternoon.
