Rio – The Civil Police arrested, on the afternoon of this Thursday (9), a dentist who had her registration canceled and who nevertheless treated patients in a high-end office on Rua Gildásio Amado, in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Rio. Agents from the Consumer Police Department (Decon) also seized several dental supplies that had expired.

The police officers, accompanied by ICCE experts and inspectors from the Regional Dentistry Council (CRO), went to the commercial building to check information about the irregular actions of professionals in the area.

At the office, the teams were received by a 27-year-old woman whose provisional registration with the CRO had been canceled since July 2022. According to the Civil Police, she rented the place to serve patients, performing procedures such as facial harmonization, prosthetics and restorations.

The agents found supplies for root canal treatment, anesthetics and restoration resins that had passed their expiration date. One of them had been unfit since 2018.

Upon discovering the irregularities, inspectors seized all expired material and forwarded the suspect to Decon, where she was charged with committing a crime against consumer relations.
