Apartment was destroyed by flames
A woman jumped from the first floor of a residential building on Thursday afternoon (09) fleeing the flames of an arson caused by her own partner. The case was registered at Residencial Parque dos Caetés, in Benedito Bentes, in the upper part of Maceió.
The victim is a 31-year-old woman. According to the Alagoas Military Fire Department (CBM/AL), she was taken to the State General Hospital (HGE) with suspected fractures in her lower limb, some abrasions and marks of aggression along her body.
Firefighters’ information shows that the woman was attacked by her partner, who shortly after set fire to the property on the first floor of a residential complex. At the time, the victim jumped out of a window to escape the flames.
For the incident, the Fire Department employed four vehicles and 13 soldiers. The flames were limited to the property only, but according to the corporation, it reached all the rooms.
According to firefighters, the person accused of setting fire to the property is the victim’s own partner, who even physically attacked her. He was taken care of by the Alagoas Military Police, who were called to the scene by members of the public.
Our reporter contacted the supervision of the 5th Military Police Battalion of Alagoas (BPM), but so far we have not received any answers.
