In its expansion phase in the south of the country, Atrio Hotel Management announces another Accor-branded development under its management. In 2024, the city of Pelotas will receive an ibis, being the first international chain hotel in the Rio Grande do Sul destination and the operator’s 13th in Rio Grande do Sul.
Recently, Atrio reported the construction of the ibis Tubarão, which will be part of the Alliance Complex, located in the Santa Catarina city of Tubarão. In Rio Grande do Sul, the new venture will involve investments of more than R$30 million.
Fabrício Iribarrem, founding partner of Gebras – Grupo Energia do Brasil, highlights the importance of the project and the partnership with Atrio. “We are confident in the assertiveness of our choice for a development that brings modernity to the city and the region. Atrio’s experience and good credentials make us even more confident,” he says.
ibis Pelotas promises to contribute to local and regional economic development. “By signing this contract, we are committed to being an active part of the city’s economic development and creating economic opportunities in the region”, says João Cazeiro, head of Atrio Development.
Strategically located on the busy Avenida Dom Joaquim, ibis Pelotas incorporates new construction features. In total, there are 144 apartments spread over six floors prepared to serve business travelers and tourists visiting the city, offering easy access to tourist attractions and local amenities.
The infrastructure also has its own restaurant, which will be open from 6am to 11pm, offering buffet services for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“In partnership with Atrio and Gebras, we will bring the ibis brand to the destination, which is top of mind in Brazil, with service and structure standards that are references at a global level”, says Romulo Silva, director of Franchise Development at Accor Brasil at Premium, Midscale & Economy division.
